Farm Salisbury
Rainbows of Stone by Ralph J. Salisbury, Son of a Cherokee-English father and an Irish mother, Ralph Salisbury grew up among storytellers and has shared his family's tales and experiences in seven previous books of prose and poetry. Now in Rainbows of Stone he returns with a striking collection of poems that interweaves family tales with personal and tribal history. Salisbury conjures images that define his life, from the vanishing farming and hunting traditions with which he was raised to his experiences in World War II as a member of a bomber crew. He writes of himself and of Indian people as Vanishing Americans -- vanishing into the mingling of races -- and sees himself as a pacifistic patriot concerned that we not continue the destructive reliance on war that marks our history. Writing as one who is "not part Indian, part white, but wholly both", Salisbury has produced a haunting, powerful work that expresses his devotion to the Cherokee religion, its fidelity to its forebears, and its harmony with the forces of Nature. For all concerned with ecology, social justice, and peace, Rainbows of Stone conveys a growing awareness of the world and a sense of how each individual connects with the universal and timeless realities of every other human being.
Romantic Kentucky: More Than 300 Things to Do for Southern Lovers by Leila W. Salisbury, When people think of Kentucky, they often conjure images of thoroughbreds grazing on rolling bluegrass farmland behind miles of white fences, or the strains of "My Old Kentucky Home" on Derby Day. In this guidebook, the authors uncover some of the state's lesser-known charms, particularly those that lend themselves to romance. Taking a broad view of romance, this book includes something for readers of every different lifestyle, interest, and income. You'll find everything from a bed-and-breakfast inn to a riverboat cruise to a historic Shaker village to a scenic blackberry farm.

Punch Bowl Farm - Punch Bowl Farm is a farm in the south-west of the English county of Surrey, near the Devil's Punchbowl. Farm gate value - The farm gate value of a cultivated product in agriculture or aquaculture is the net value of the product when it leaves the farm, after marketing costs have been subtracted. Since many farms do not have significant marketing costs, it is often understood as the price of the product at which it is sold by the farm (the farm gate price).
